Your Hometown Morning Show With Amadeus & Steve

Amadeus

Hey, thanks for checking out my Bio.
I’m a self-proclaimed Jacksonville native, having moved here as a “Navy Brat” in 4th grade, attending Mayport Elementary, Mayport Jr. High, and finally Fletcher Sr. High School. When my family moved away my senior year, I decided to stay and make Jacksonville my Home. My Mamma cried.
Right out of high school I started working full-time at Publix in Atlantic Beach, and part-time at Turtle’s Records & Tapes. I eventually left Turtle’s to work part-time at 95.1 WAPE, The Big Ape. When that part-time job turned into an opportunity to join The Big Ape Morning Zoo, I left Publix behind, and never looked back. I do however still LOVE and shop at Publix. I mean, it’s a Pleasure, right!!!
In addition to my 28 years in Jacksonville radio, I spent some time hosting the ‘Weekend Showplace” on The WB at that time, then CW-17 here in Jax. That was a really fun gig, and it gave me some great opportunities to travel and make some lifelong friends.
I’m an avid concert goer and a HUGE fan of movies (in the theater). You can usually hear a movie review or two on The Morning Show on 99.9 Gator Country.
I LOVE being a part of the Jacksonville Community. For me, there truly is No Place Like Home!!!
Steve

After a 3 year hiatus and a brief spin through the Southeast United States, Steve is back in Jacksonville, a place he’s called home for over 30 years.
Better still, he and Amadeus, his brother-from-another-mother, are back on the radio again from 0530-1000.
“If things don’t change in your life, you aren’t really living, are you?” he said. “It isn’t always convenient or fun or easy, but it IS necessary. I’m blessed to be home and doing what I love and do best.”
Don’t be surprised if you see Steve and his Alaskan Malamute Havoc out for a walk at the park or cruising around in the Mallymobile. Havoc WILL chat with you and greet you with a Chamber of Commerce worthy WOOOOO!
Local BBQ joints are high in the list, and so are car shows and Trivia Nights. If you know of a restaurant or bar that could use a Team Trivia host, this is your guy.
