Hey, thanks for checking out my Bio.
I’m a self-proclaimed Jacksonville native, having moved here as a “Navy Brat” in 4th grade, attending Mayport Elementary, Mayport Jr. High, and finally Fletcher Sr. High School. When my family moved away my senior year, I decided to stay and make Jacksonville my Home. My Mamma cried.
Right out of high school I started working full-time at Publix in Atlantic Beach, and part-time at Turtle’s Records & Tapes. I eventually left Turtle’s to work part-time at 95.1 WAPE, The Big Ape. When that part-time job turned into an opportunity to join The Big Ape Morning Zoo, I left Publix behind, and never looked back. I do however still LOVE and shop at Publix. I mean, it’s a Pleasure, right!!!
I’ve been Blessed to work with Eden Kendall going all the way back to our early days, both part-timers, at WAPE. Eden’s not just a “co-worker”; she truly is family.
In addition to my 28 years in Jacksonville radio, I spent some time hosting the ‘Weekend Showplace” on The WB at that time, then CW-17 here in Jax. That was a really fun gig, and it gave me some great opportunities to travel and make some lifelong friends.
I’m an avid concert goer and a HUGE fan of movies (in the theater). You can usually hear a movie review or two on The Morning Show on 99.9 Gator Country.
I LOVE being a part of the Jacksonville Community. For me, there truly is No Place Like Home!!!
